Bernese highlands

The Bernese highlands region is famous for its spectacular landscapes with mighty glaciers, crystal clear lakes and extensive alpine areas, for its magnificent ski slopes, for its pride, its sense of tradition and its customs.

It is characterized by small-scale, diverse mountain agriculture, as well as by touristically unlimited adventure opportunities, contemplative little towns and outdoor fun parks. The balancing act is not always easy, but it is definitely worthwhile to go on your own discovery tour: on foot or by bike, by train or by boat, climbing or swimming, snowshoeing or sailing, with the steepest funicular or over one of the longest suspension bridges, discovering the myths, the winding paths as well as the legends of the mountains.
